Apprenticeships
An Apprenticeship is a nationally recognised, work-based training programme designed to train new or existing employees aged 16+.
Curtis works closely with the North Lancashire Training Group who support students through their apprenticeship by visiting site every 4 - 6 weeks to review work completed, observe the practical aspects and offer tutoring support with Maths, IT and English.
The apprenticeship is made up of the following elements: skills based assessment, E-portfolio, off the job learning and end point assessment which will bring all the learning gained together with a tutor observed product build from beginning to end.
We currently employ 5 apprentices and, although not actively recruiting, we are always love hearing from people who want to start their careers with Curtis for future placements.

Role: Quality Assurance Manager
Hours: Full-time
Location: Leeds - factory based
Salary: Circa £50,000 per annum
Description
As our Quality Assurance Manager, you will play a key role in upholding and enhancing our product standards across all manufacturing operations. You will lead our quality assurance processes, oversee compliance for all our production, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to ensure our customers receive only the best.
Role: Furniture Assembly & Production Operative
Hours: Full Time, Permanent, 39 hours per week
Location: Leeds LS10, West Yorkshire
Salary: £13.00 to £13.50per hour DOE
Description
This role is ideal for candidates with previous assembly experience and either some experience operating woodworking machinery or a keen interest in learning. Full training will be provided for the right candidate.
Working schedule: Monday to Thursday 7am to 3.30pm and Friday 7am to 2.30pm
Role: CNC Operator / Wood Machinist - Lates
Hours: Permanent 39 hours per week. Monday - Wednesday 3:30pm – 2:00am, Thursday 3:30pm – 1:00am
Location: Leeds, LS10, West Yorkshire
Salary: £14.00 - £18.44 per hour DOE
Description
Your primary responsibility will be to machine and prepare timber and board materials to the required specifications, ensuring all components are produced accurately, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. Work schedule: Monday - Wednesday 3:30pm – 2:00am, Thursday 3:30pm – 1:00am
Role: Skilled Bench Hand Joiner
Hours: Full-time, Permanent

Description
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Upholsterer to join our growing team. Your primary responsibility will be to build, upholster, and prepare high-quality furniture components, including headboards and pads, using a variety of fabrics, leather, and vinyl. You will take pride in delivering exceptional craftsmanship while working efficiently to meet customer expectations and production deadlines.
Work schedule: Monday -Thursday 7am-3:30pm, Friday 7am-2:30pm
Role: Dispatch Manager
Hours: Full-time, Permanent
Location: Leeds LS10, West Yorkshire
Salary: £40,000 to £42,000 DOE
Description
This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for managing daily dispatch operations, coordinating shipments, maintaining high standards of safety and quality, and driving departmental performance. You will work closely with Production, Planning, Stores, Quality, Transport Providers, and Project Teams to ensure smooth and efficient operations across the business.
