Bringing Bold Hospitality Design to Life at Moxy Piccadilly Circus
13 May 2026
In the heart of London’s West End, just moments from Soho, Leicester Square and the bright lights of Piccadilly Circus, the new Moxy London Piccadilly Circus brings the brand’s playful and energetic personality to one of the capital’s most iconic locations. Developed by Criterion Capital in partnership with Marriott International , the hotel has been described as the largest Moxy hotel outside New York, transforming a former office building within the historic Criterion Building into a vibrant hospitality destination. Curtis Furniture was proud to play a key role in this landmark hospitality project, manufacturing bespoke bedroom case goods for all 529 guestrooms across the hotel.
A Complex Hospitality Furniture Project
Delivering furniture for a project of this scale required careful planning, innovative manufacturing, and close collaboration throughout the process. The Moxy brand is known for its bold, space-efficient interiors and design-led approach, meaning every room needed to combine practicality, durability, and character. For this project, Curtis manufactured bespoke bedroom furniture tailored specifically to the hotel’s unique layouts and guest experience. One of the most technically challenging aspects of the project was the development of custom bunk bed solutions for a number of guestrooms. To achieve this, our team explored new production methods and manufacturing techniques to ensure the beds met both the design intent and the durability standards required for a busy city-centre hotel. The project also included the creation of a specially designed circular bed, built to sit perfectly within a curved window feature — a standout detail that reflects the playful personality of the Moxy brand.
Manufacturing for Modern Hospitality
Moxy hotels are designed around smart use of space, social energy, and contemporary interiors. Guestrooms at the Piccadilly Circus hotel feature compact but highly functional layouts, alongside theatrical design references inspired by the surrounding West End. That focus on intelligent room design made bespoke manufacturing essential. Every furniture piece needed to work seamlessly within the architecture of the building while maintaining consistency across hundreds of rooms. Manufactured in the UK at Curtis Furniture’s Leeds factory, the project highlights the benefits of British-made hospitality furniture — from quality control and flexibility through to collaboration and efficient delivery for large-scale hotel developments.
Delivering Hospitality Projects at Scale
Projects like Moxy London Piccadilly Circus demonstrate the scale and complexity Curtis Furniture can deliver for the hospitality sector. From bespoke one-off features through to full bedroom furniture packages for hundreds of guestrooms, our team works closely with clients, designers, and contractors to bring ambitious hotel concepts to life. As hospitality brands continue to create more experience-led environments, bespoke furniture plays an increasingly important role in shaping how guests interact with a space — combining aesthetics, comfort, and functionality in equal measure.
