Curtis is pleased to share the completion of a brand new 48-bedroom extension at Village Hotel, Manchester Ashton — a project defined by clean lines, practical thinking and everything a modern hotel room needs to perform effortlessly.

Commissioned by Russell WBHO Construction, with interior design by Leach Rhodes Walker, the extension delivers contemporary guestrooms that prioritise clarity, comfort and functionality. The design approach focused on creating calm, well-organised spaces that work just as hard for hotel operations as they do for guests.

Curtis was responsible for the manufacture and supply of a comprehensive bedroom furniture package, carefully considered to support modern hotel living. This included:

• Headboards with integrated LED lighting
• Bedside units
• TV units
• Wardrobe screen and divider systems
• Long mirrors with slatted detailing
• Painted bed bases and mattresses
• Desks and shelving
• Coordinated wall slats across wardrobes, headboards, desks and bedsides

Manufactured at our Leeds factory, each element was designed with durability, consistency and ease of use in mind — essential qualities in a high-traffic hotel environment. The result is a guestroom that feels simple, intuitive and comfortable, without unnecessary complexity.

This project demonstrates how smart, clean design and well-made furniture can come together to create hotel rooms that are both practical and welcoming — delivering a seamless experience for guests while supporting efficient hotel operations.
