County Contractors appointed Curtis to deliver the case good package for their fast track 311 bedroom refurbishment at the Crowne Plaza, Birmingham. As with all live refurbishments, a flexible, professional, prompt approach to delivery and problem solving was required by all and Curtis once again met all of these challenges with an excellent service. We would have no hesitation to recommend Curtis on future projects.
To avoid the risks of shipping from outside the UK, we wanted to select a British Manufacturer, and Curtis are one of the few with the capacity to supply bespoke case goods for 1,000 rooms over a 12-month project. Our relationship with Curtis goes back over 20 years. We needed to choose an expert partner we could trust to turn around the room refurbishments in a timely manner and with minimal disruption, as the hotel remained fully operational throughout."

AKP Scotland have been working with Curtis Furniture for the last 10 months on the refurbishment of the Marriott Glasgow Hotel. We have now completed over 200 rooms of this 300 room hotel. Curtis’ genuine interest in the successful execution of the brief, giving nods to the local goldsmiths, architects and horologists, was both reassuringly productive and also refreshing. The initial expectations from us, the client, did not encompass the flexibility, time and grace that the Curtis team utilised, allowing the successful navigation around the preliminary value engineering and design adaptation demands, nor did we predict the continuation of this additional layer of client support which transpired to be pivotal to dissolving several unexpected hurdles which emerged as the build progressed.”
